Fleet & Facilities Support - Part Time

Position Overview

Legacy Academy and Church is looking for a dependable and proactive Fleet & Facilities Support to oversee the safe operation and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles, while also supporting facilities and events across our campus. This dual-role position ensures our transportation resources are ready and reliable and our school and church environments are clean, safe, and event-ready.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Fleet Management

You will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational at all times.

Key Duties:

  • Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections
    • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance for all vehicles and buses
    • Conduct regular checks on essential systems such as tires, brakes, and oil levels
    • Ensure timely completion of all state-required inspections, certifications, and safety checks
    • Work with vendors and repair shops for specialized services and parts
  • Recordkeeping
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle service history, repairs, fuel usage, and inspections
    • Keep all vehicle documents current, including insurance, registration, and compliance paperwork
  • Inventory & Supplies
    • Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs
    • Ensure each vehicle is stocked with emergency equipment such as first-aid kits and fire extinguishers
  1. Facility Maintenance Support

You’ll also support the physical upkeep of school and church facilities, especially during large events and seasonal celebrations.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with general campus maintenance and upkeep
  • Support event setups and tear-downs for major occasions (e.g., Easter, Christmas, school programs)
  • Help with cleaning, furniture moving, basic repairs, and other hands-on tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or fleet coordination strongly preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle inspections
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Willingness to perform hands-on physical tasks related to facility and event support
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak event times
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe environment for students and staff

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions in various weather
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead for extended periods
  • Capable of operating light machinery and hand tools
  • Physically able to assist with loading/unloading, setting up equipment, and vehicle inspections
